About Me
‘As seasons do, so does my palette’
I am an abstract artist and creative instructor living and working outside of San Luis Obispo, California.
I graduated from Biola University with a degree Art and Photography and later pursued certificates in teaching and leadership. For several years, I taught art to an array of age based students from studio to studio, while maintaining an active studio practice and my graphic design wine label business on the side. In 2018, I decided to take the leap into full time professional painting. ‘Candace Rae Art’ is the culmination of many years of learning, teaching, and relearning how to paint.
When I’m not painting, you can find me chasing or creating with my two incredible young boys, teaching a local spin class, hiking with my husband then later exploring one of the new wineries on the central coast.
My work is heavily influenced by the colors, textures, and prayers. These pieces are created and released in ‘series,’ or as I calls it “seasons”.
